Extension to create a larger kitchen area to open into a well proportioned dining and living area. The client wanted a kitchen with lots of open shelving, so their kids can access what they need without having to open the doors.  As working parents, they wanted luxury with functionality that they can style with their personal character.

With high ceilings, stepped out walls and angled ceilings. The client wanted somebody who could understand their vision and create a space to entertain and utilise all corners of the room. They wanted a dramatic dark kitchen with light surfaces for hosting and entertaining, with a breakfast bar being the focal point of the kitchen.  The walls in the client’s home were not perfectly square which meant we had some walls that stepped forward and created corners to work around which made fitting a challenge. The challenges were overcome using bespoke & innovative solutions.

Designed & fitted X-Line Pronorm Kitchen in  Light Grey couple with Matt black handle rail. Quartzform Fossil Jet Worktops with a glass splashback. We used bespoke cabinetry to work around the beams and utilise the space to maximise storage. Wall panels were fitted to the ceiling around the beam to minimise dust traps.  Appliances used were Siemen, Neff & Miele appliances with Blanco Sink & Quooker Pro3 flex tap.

The client’s objective was to extend their kitchen, prioritising ample storage and functional space. During the installation, we skillfully concealed a pillar by cutting around the wall and base cupboards, ensuring a seamless and uniform appearance.

To maximise storage, we created a custom tall unit with integrated plugs for their Dyson vacuum and cleaning utensils. This narrower unit allowed us to fit essential appliances such as the fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, and a roller shutter for larger kitchen gadgets.

A sleek worktop, along with the Blanco 700-U ETAGON sink and Blanco drink.hot EVOL-S Pro tap, completed the functional and stylish combination.

The outcome is a transformed kitchen that fulfills the client’s vision of increased storage and functionality, creating a welcoming and efficient culinary space.

Modern shaker-style Pronorm pro line kitchen with Catania Oak cabinetry and a Unistone Carrara Misterio 20mm counter-top and splash-back and Platinum Handles.

To optimise the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the entryway, we added a floating tall wall cabinet next to the entrance door to serve as a premium shoe storage solution. This clever addition effectively eradicates clutter, creating a more streamlined and inviting entrance area.

In our effort to maximise storage and enhance the visual appeal of the space, we decided to construct open shelving for the bottom unit, situated on the opposite side of the radiator. This addition not only provides ample storage for a variety of items but also adds a touch of modernity and elegance to the overall design.

We used a NEFF N50 Slide and Hide oven and a NEFF N60 30cm Flex Induction Domini Hob with a Gas Wok burner, which were selected by the client. For the island, we used Catania Oak paneling with a Matt Lacquer Arctic White front finish. One side of the island features a front pull-out cupboard unit, three deep drawers, one medium drawer, and a cutlery drawer. The other side has an overhang to accommodate seating for four people.

The Client extended the back of the house and converted the garage into a kitchen living space. They desired a Kosher kitchen with separate meat and dairy areas, multiple sinks, and dishwashers. The inclusion of a discreet utility room with ample storage was crucial to fulfilling their dream kitchen vision.

Despite a supporting pillar, we seamlessly integrated it into the kitchen design through clever paneling, and a bespoke access door to the utility room . We installed the requested appliances, including a Fisher & Paykel fridge, Neff ovens, Neff induction hob with Elica Boxin HE extractor, two Blanco Claron 500-U sinks, and two dishwashers.

To enhance functionality and style, we incorporated a wine rack unit, open shelving, and an inviting island with seating for four. The utility room was optimised by stacking the washer and dryer, adding a small sink and tap, and creating space for an under-counter freezer and narrow drawers.

The result is a stunning and practical kitchen that will bring joy to the client for years to come.

Omega Charles Rennie Mackintosh – Kitchen update

Finchley Kitchens collaborated with the client to design their modern kitchen update, ensuring it met all their requirements. The kitchen was situated in a spacious area with ample natural light, and it seamlessly extended into a utility room.

For the cabinets, Omega Charles Rennie Mackintosh in gloss white was chosen, creating a sleek and contemporary look. The worktops Caesarstone Aterra Blanca quartz in a 20mm thickness, providing durability and elegance and used as splashback to add a modern touch.

The existing Range-master cooker was reinstalled in its original position, and the extractor was replaced accordingly. To maximise functionality and create a focal point, the client opted for a large island that offered abundant worktop space. The island also featured a comfortable seating area adjacent to a wine cooler, providing a convenient spot for entertaining guests.

Additionally, a long run of cabinetry, comprising base and wall units, was incorporated into the design. This section included dedicated worktop space for the sink and other appliances, ensuring efficient workflow in the kitchen. To add a touch of character and display cherished items, a tall open shelving unit was included at the end of the cabinetry run.

The overall design allowed for ample storage, generous worktop space, and bespoke features that enhanced the kitchen’s aesthetic appeal. The available wall space was also utilized to showcase artwork, adding a personal touch to the design. Finally, the kitchen layout provided enough room for a wooden dining table that complemented the overall aesthetic and tied the entire space together.

Our task was to design a modern, contemporary kitchen that incorporated light and dark coloured units, while seamlessly integrating the kitchen, dining, and living areas in an open-plan concept. The recent extension and abundance of natural light provided an ideal space to work with, allowing us to create an inviting atmosphere for daily activities and social gatherings without encountering significant challenges.

We transformed the client’s kitchen with a German Handle less kitchen from Pronorm’s Y-Line range, featuring a Cimstone Cortina quartz worktop, Midnight Blue Lacquered units, BORA Pure induction cooktop, and Oxide concrete-coloured island. The meticulous attention to detail and high-quality components resulted in a stunning, functional kitchen that exceeded the client’s expectations.

Modern German Shaker Kitchen in Matt Lacquer Stratus Grey

The client sought to optimise their traditional-style house with a modern and functional makeover, including a large appliance unit, a concealed coffee machine, a kitchen island with seating, a separate dining area for children’s activities, and a display unit for personal decorations.

This project presented challenges with varying ceiling heights, an unconventional space under the stairs for the wet area, and non-uniform ceiling height and wall depths throughout the home. The client required guidance on utilising the room effectively, and a bespoke unit was necessary to maximise the available space and ensure optimal utilisation.

We designed and provided a German modern shaker kitchen with a Proline matt lacquer stratus grey finish, complemented by gold matt handles. The countertops were made of Unistone Carrara Misterio polished in a 30mm thickness. We optimised the space with a designated wet area featuring a bin unit, Belfast Sink, and dishwasher, while incorporating cupboards, three sets of three-drawer units, an oven housing, and a integrated Prime-800 Westin extractor for storage and functionality.

The client was highly satisfied with the end result of the project, expressing great happiness and appreciation for the exceptional quality, cohesive and functional design, and customisations that exceeded their expectations.
