Our task was to design a traditional, solid wood Shaker kitchen that gave this family significantly more functional storage and worktop space, while introducing the rich sage green palette they had wanted from their very first conversation with us. A large, freestanding fridge freezer and a small island were also key requirements, alongside dedicated storage solutions for two awkward areas of the room.

We designed the kitchen in Painted Glade, a deeper take on sage green, paired with a walnut carcase that complements the traditional Shaker door profile beautifully. A bespoke four door bifold larder unit conceals a full breakfast station, while an open shelving unit on the fridge wall combines stone backed shelving with vertical plate racking. The kitchen is finished with twin Siemens ovens, a Siemens flexInduction hob, a Fisher & Paykel French door fridge freezer, and a Quooker boiling water tap in patinated brass.

Finchley Kitchens project managed the entire renovation from start to finish, including flooring and electrical work, giving our clients a single point of contact throughout. The finished kitchen delivers everything on their original wish list, and the bespoke bifold larder unit has become the detail our design team is proudest of.
